FRAGMENTS OF PRESENCE
HM-ART1527 Acrylic on wooden panel, resin, broken mirror particles, and fluorescent pigment 85 × 85 cm
Built from acrylic, resin, broken mirror particles, and fluorescent pigment, this work explores the fragile tension between decay and persistence. The mask appears partially consumed by time, yet traces of identity continue to emerge through fractured textures and reflective surfaces.
The oxidized gold tones suggest erosion rather than luxury. What glows here is not perfection, but survival:
a presence resisting disappearance.
Embedded mirror fragments catch and scatter light unpredictably, allowing the surface to shift continuously between visibility and dissolution. In darkness, fluorescent elements reveal another hidden layer beneath the visible structure, suggesting that identity never fully vanishes — it merely changes form.
The work becomes an excavation of what remains after emotional fragmentation:
memory,
trace,
and unfinished presence.
