The 196 Series emerged from a personal journey of reflection, forgiveness, and transformation. It is a universe shaped by the many people encountered throughout life — those who inspired, supported, challenged, taught, misused, or unexpectedly changed its course.

Each figure represents a fragment of the human experience. Some rise, some struggle, some remain incomplete. Some carry strength, while others reveal emptiness. Together, they form a collective portrait of the relationships that shape who we become.

The sculptures themselves are created through experimentation with resin, pigments, fluorescent substances, and other materials. Unpredictable chemical reactions, heat, and transformation during the casting process often deform the figures, creating hollow spaces, missing limbs, and unexpected forms.

Rather than correcting these imperfections, the series embraces them. They mirror the way life itself leaves traces upon us — through joy, disappointment, growth, vulnerability, and resilience.

What began as a response to difficult encounters gradually became an expression of gratitude. The greatest lessons often come from unexpected places. Even those who wound us can contribute to our evolution and help us become who we are meant to be.

The 196 Universe is therefore not a collection of individual sculptures, but an ever-growing assembly of human stories — a symbolic gathering of all the people who have crossed my path.
