CURRENTS BENEATH SILENCE

HM-ART1532 Acrylic on wooden panel, resin, broken mirror particles, and fluorescent pigment 85 × 85 cm

This work evokes the emotional depth hidden beneath outward calm. Built with acrylic, resin, broken mirror fragments, and fluorescent pigments, the mask appears fluid — almost dissolving into water, memory, and movement.

The blue-green tones suggest tides of emotion that continuously shift beneath the visible surface. Reflective particles catch fragments of light like submerged memories resurfacing for a brief moment before disappearing again.

In darkness, the fluorescent layers awaken another presence within the work. What seemed silent during daylight begins to glow softly, revealing emotions that only emerge when distraction fades away.

The piece speaks about hidden emotional currents: the feelings people carry quietly while presenting stability to the outside world.
Not all struggles erupt.
Some simply flow underneath everything we show.
