YOUR MASK ONLY WEEPS IN THE DARK

HM-ART1524- Acrylic on wooden board, resin, broken mirror & fluorescent particles 85x85cm

“What you hide
does not disappear.

It waits.”

By day—

there is a face.

Held together.

Recognizable.

Nothing escapes.

Nothing betrays.

The mask works.

But beneath—

something moves.

Not visible.

Not spoken.

Only carried.

A pressure
without language.

A tension
without release.

And then—

the light fades.

What was controlled
loosens.

What was silent
begins to surface.

Fragments catch light.

Broken reflections
start to glow.

Not whole.

Not composed.

But true.

The face dissolves.

The mask gives way.

And what remains
is not an image—

It is a cry.

Not loud.

Not heard.

But present
in every fracture.

Because pain
does not always show itself
when we are seen.

It reveals itself

when we are alone.

In the dark.
