YOUR MASK ONLY WEEPS IN THE DARK
HM-ART1546- Oil on canvas 120x170cm
“What you hide
does not disappear.
It waits for the dark.”
By day—
there is a face.
Composed.
Contained.
Nothing escapes.
Nothing betrays.
The mask holds.
But beneath—
something gathers.
Not visible.
Not spoken.
Only carried.
A pressure
without form.
A cry
without sound.
And then—
the light fades.
What was controlled
loosens.
What was silent
finds a way out.
The face begins to dissolve.
Edges blur.
Structure gives way.
Not into nothing—
but into truth.
Because pain
does not reveal itself
when we are seen.
It reveals itself
when we are alone.
In the dark.
And in that moment—
there is no mask left.
Only what was
always there.
