“Wonder begins
before understanding.”

She stands at the window.

Still.

Watching.

Three birds
move freely outside.

Close—
yet unreachable.

She does not question it.

Not yet.

To her,
everything feels possible.

The distance is small.

The world—
open.

She follows them
with her eyes.

With her breath.

With something
she cannot name yet.

Hope.

For a moment—

she is already there.

Flying.

Later,
she steps outside.

Closer now.

Certain
they will stay.

But freedom
does not wait.

The birds lift—

and disappear
into a sky
that does not belong to her.

She remains.

Alone.

Not broken—

but changed.

Because this is the moment
something new appears.

The first quiet meeting
with distance.

With loss.

With reality.

And still—

the window remains.
