THE INVISIBLE TWIN TOWELS

HM-ART1510- Oil on canvas 120x170cm

“Freedom is not taken all at once.
It disappears quietly.”

There was a moment
the world shifted.

Not only in stone and steel—
but in something less visible.

Structures fell.

Others were rebuilt.

Stronger.
Higher.
More controlled.

But something else
did not return.

Not financial freedom.

Something closer.

Something human.

Space.

Movement.

The simple right
to exist
without permission.

And slowly—

we adapted.

We covered ourselves
with rules,
with distance,
with invisible agreements.

Until one day—

it felt normal
to stand exposed.

Naked—

not in body,

but in freedom.

The towel is not missing.

It was never given.

And maybe
it was never needed.

Because what protects us
also defines us.

And what we remove—

reveals us.

So the question remains:

Who decides
what must be covered?

And who benefits
when we forget
we were once free?

ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER

What is called the Freedom Tower
was built to prove something:

that a nation can rise again
after collapse.

Its height—1,776 feet—
is not an accident.

It echoes the moment
freedom was declared.

Stronger.
Higher.
Unbreakable.

At least—
that is the idea.

But symbols do not only reflect strength.

They also ask questions.

What does it mean
to rebuild freedom—

in a world
that feels increasingly controlled?

Is freedom something
we construct in steel—

or something
we quietly lose within ourselves?
