MEMORIES FROM PRIDE ROCK

HM-ART1151- Oil on canvas, with extra sculpture of the arm of the divine- 100x200cm

This work unfolds as a diptych—two dimensions of existence,
two states of being,
two choices that live within us at every moment.

The Left Side — Creation

Here, life is formed in motion.

A sculptured and outstretched arm descends from the sky—
not as domination, but as participation.
A silent collaboration between the divine and the human.

The artist’s hand meets that presence,
shaping conditions for life to emerge and endure.

Below, the rhythm of existence continues.
The tribe walks forward, unaware, guided yet unknowing.
The guardians—the rangers—protect what must be preserved.
The “Big Five” stand as symbols of strength, fragility, and balance.

This is a world of beginnings:
friendships, ideas, relationships, ecosystems—
all interconnected, all dependent on care.

And somewhere within it all,
Pinocchio appears as a visitor—
a quiet messenger,
whispering truths that not everyone is ready to hear.

The Right Side — Return

In contrast, the right side breathes stillness.

A solitary figure stands against the fading light,
carrying within him a radiant core—
not borrowed, but discovered.

This is the moment after movement.
After noise.
After struggle.

Here, the artist steps back into himself.
Tensions dissolve.
The need to control fades.

What remains is gratitude.
Respect.
Presence.

Nature is no longer something to shape—
but something to belong to.

The Balance

This painting is not about choosing one side over the other.

It is about recognizing that both exist within us.

The urge to create, influence, build, and protect—
and the need to withdraw, reflect, and simply be.

At any moment, we can shift between these worlds.

And perhaps true strength
lies not in choosing,
but in embracing both.
