BABY IN THE BROKEN MIRROR

HM-ART1522- Resin on wooden board, particles of broken mirror 85x85cm

“He looks—

and believes
it can become whole.”

A child does not question
what he sees.

He receives it.

Light.

Form.

Fragments
that do not yet carry meaning.

The world appears
in pieces.

But to him—

it is still complete.

Because hope
does not depend
on structure.

It exists
before understanding.

The surface is broken.

Edges sharp.

Reflections unstable.

Nothing aligns
the way it should.

And yet—

he looks upward.

Not searching for answers.

Expecting something else.

That it will restore itself.

That it will return
to what feels right.

Because in him—

wholeness
still exists.

And when the light fades—

the fragments change.

What was scattered
begins to glow.

Not as one.

But together.

A different kind of truth.

Not perfect.

Not repaired.

But alive.

Because what is broken

does not always need
to be fixed.

Sometimes—

it reveals
how we first learned
to see.
