HM-ART1122: EROSION OF SILENCE
‘Erosion’ is the geological process by which earthly material is worn away by natural forces such as wind, water or other fluids.
“Silence” refers to any absence of communication, a refusal to stand up and speak when expected
“Erosion of Silence” is an artistic voodoo experiment in which a bronze couple as a work of art, will be immersed in a corrosive acid until it disintegrates into dust and ash and will ultimately be carried away by the wind.
This work of art was created in gratitude to a bank director for the trust and valued services shown during his active career. He was also not spared from issues that caused severe depression. With kid gloves the artist was able to convince him to put aside his fear of commitment for a new relationship, which he succeeded.
He was appointed as the third decision maker in a business dispute. He received a discharge for the work completed.
Ultimately, improper matters surface where he has not acted completely impartially and doesn’t dare to discuss the consequences. Naturally, he also feels that he is in trouble. He hides himself behind a curtain of silence and thus avoids all forms of responsibility.
This experiment allows the artist to eventually erode this art work ‘Erosion of Silence’ into dust and ash. It is a rewarding way to forget this akward story and make room for new but richer experiences.

‘Erosie’ is het geologische proces waarbij aards materiaal wordt weggesleten door natuurlijke krachten zoals wind, water of andere vloeistoffen.
‘Stilte’ verwijst naar elke afwezigheid van communicatie, een weigering om op te staan en te spreken wanneer dat verwacht wordt
“Erosion of Silence” is een artistiek voodoo experiment waarbij een bronzen koppel als kunstwerk wordt ondergedompeld in een bijtend zuur totdat het uiteenvalt in stof en as en uiteindelijk door de wind wordt meegevoerd.
Dit kunstwerk is ontstaan uit dankbaarheid aan een bankdirecteur voor het vertrouwen en de gewaardeerde diensten die hij tijdens zijn actieve carrière heeft getoond. Ook werd hij niet gespaard van problemen die ernstige depressies veroorzaakten. Met fluwelen handschoenen wist de kunstenaar hem ervan te overtuigen zijn bindingsangst opzij te zetten voor een nieuwe relatie, wat hem lukte.
Hij werd aangesteld als derde beslisser in een zakelijk geschil. Hij kreeg kwijting voor het voltooide werk.
Uiteindelijk kwamen er ongepaste zaken bovendrijven waarbij hij niet geheel onpartijdig heeft gehandeld en de gevolgen blijkbaar niet durft te bespreken. Natuurlijk heeft hij ook het gevoel dat hij boter op het hoofd heeft. Hij verbergt zich achter een gordijn van stilte en vermijdt zo alle vormen van verantwoordelijkheid.
Dit experiment stelt de kunstenaar in staat zijn kunstwerk uiteindelijk te eroderen tot stof en as. Het is een bizarre manier om dit onverwachte verhaal te vergeten en ruimte te maken voor nieuwe, maar rijkere ervaringen.

‘Erosão’ é o processo geológico pelo qual o material terrestre é desgastado por forças naturais como o vento, a água ou outros fluidos.
“Silêncio” refere-se a qualquer ausência de comunicação, uma recusa em levantar-se e falar quando esperado
“Erosão do Silêncio” é uma experiência artística voodoo em que um casal de bronze, como obra de arte, será imerso em um ácido corrosivo até se desintegrar em pó e cinzas e acabar sendo levado pelo vento.
Esta obra de arte foi criada em agradecimento a um diretor de banco pela confiança e pelos valiosos serviços demonstrados ao longo de sua ativa carreira. Ele também não foi poupado de problemas que causaram depressão severa. Com luvas de pelica o artista conseguiu convencê-lo a deixar de lado o medo do compromisso por um novo relacionamento, o que conseguiu.
Ele foi apontado como o terceiro tomador de decisão em uma disputa comercial. Ele recebeu alta pelo trabalho concluído.
Em última análise, surgem questões impróprias onde ele não agiu de forma totalmente imparcial e não se atreve a discutir as consequências. Naturalmente, ele também sente que está com problemas. Ele se esconde atrás de uma cortina de silêncio e assim evita todas as formas de responsabilidade.
Esta experiência permite ao artista eventualmente transformar este Silêncio em pó e cinzas. É uma forma gratificante de esquecer esta história desagradável e abrir espaço para experiências novas, porém mais ricas.
